Indeed an excellent story. But there is a bell ringing in my memory that I have read this story some where - somewhere. Is it in Tamil in Ananda Vikadan almost a decade ago? Did you write the story then in Tamil?
By the way, while it is an excellent story, the length of the story is not. It definitely will look much crisper if you could edit it and remove many stuff (like buying computer for children, the related elaborate details etc).
